ZBrush 2019 is here and with it a host of new features to check out. I’m Follygon and in this video we’ll be taking a look at the new Folder system added to ZBrush 2019.
One of the most anticipated features in the history of ZBrush – Folders are finally here! They offer you the ability to organize your subtools a lot more efficiently. They also provide some bonus features that allow you to move all your subtools or directly live boolean shapes within a folder which is much improved over the old method. Yes you can drag and drop different subtools around now which is super nice. But unfortunately you cannot nest folders within other folders. Maybe we can add that to the list of new feature we want for ZBrush 2020.
Folders
First previewed at last year’s ZBrush Summit, the Folders feature is the realization of one of the most popular feature requests from ZBrush users. However, in ZBrush 2019 this is more than merely a way to organize your SubTools. A wide variety of actions can be performed at the folder level, affecting all SubTools found within. Examples include performing quick 3D transformations or Live Boolean operations.
