A couple of juvenile raccoons decided, for no reason at all, to climb the chicken wire we have surrounding our porch. They ended up pulling the top half down. We have the chicken wire up so that we can let our indoor cats out onto the porch and also so that the outdoor cats can get away from predators such as dogs. Dogs can of course walk on to the porch. But there’s a small doorway behind the camera that’s cat sized that they can escape through and because even medium size dogs can’t fit through, they would need to go back down the steps, giving the cats a couple extra seconds to run into the backyard that’s surrounded by a privacy fence that also has a cat sized doorway.
