3D Composition Test: Circular Quay Wiggle Monkey
#CamTrackAR #AR #Blender3D
LOCATION: Outside MCA, Sydney
A quick test 3D composition and compositing study using iPhone X ”CamTrackAR” to quickly capture the ”stage”, plus floor plane and virtually brings in the digital monkey and dropping it into the scene in Blender3D. It’s almost like AR.
Camera is mostly static, but with iPhone X, it jitters a bit more than iPhone 11 Pro.
Reflection and Shadow are keys here. I am using Cycles render and just realized that if I blur the floor to get reflection, the shadow catcher disappear. So maybe I did something wrong there or needing to do something in compositing…
If I were to use Cycles, it might also work realtime with shader trickery, but also I need to blur the reflection.
I realized also I need to take care of:
– breathing camera focus
– focus background foreground and z-depth of the lens
– supposed if person also walk in and out the camera, in front or back of the digital contents, we need to take care of it.
– HDR 360 panorama is needed, I forgot to capture it here
