Blender Low Poly Texturing Tutorial
In this Blender tutorial I show my texturing technique for low poly models with Blender 2.90 or 2.8x. I unwrap the mesh by using Reset, then I scale down the UV islands to a size that matches the color squares of an image I use as input for the base color of a principled shader. The roughness I set to 1.0.
With this kind of UV mapping the texture is reusable for other mesh and when exporting to a game engine you get the best performance possible because you just have one draw call for all models.
