Blender 2.8 Hard Surface Modeling for Beginners
Here is a beginner modeling video for hard surface modeling with Blender 2.8, we are going to create a simple table that is high adjustable.

It will be 2 separate objects in the end, so that the table height can be adjusted. The mesh parts are not extruded out of other meshes, the are deparate objects and snapping to grid or edges is used for accurate modeling.

To make the table look more crisp like you know it for hard surface models I add bevel modifiers to it and smooth shading.
