I am sharing a bit of story on how you could create Mondrian like Artwork subdivision, recursively using Blender and SVerchok nodes.

So a bunch of SV developers and artists mingle together to try to find solution to this. You could even use Grease Pencil method, more manual but still worth doing.

The algorithm for this funky subdivision and splitting of square is interesting in itself, despite its simplicity. Maybe you even have more ideas to add to this in the future. Who knows? Enjoy.
