BSLIVE / Metaphorical Stone Sculpture
In this Blender Sushi LIVE episode, I was talking about about the creation of scholar mountain stone and its significant. You could create a super realistic mountain stone using many different ways: Displace Modifier, Sculpt Modifier, or using SVerchok Nodes like what I am doing here. I could share the node tree if you like but you can easily make yourself.

I make the stone for virtual Augmented Reality / AR USDZ that I could share with my friends and families, just for fun. But I supposed it can have more to it. Maybe I will 3D print it out.

The inspiration for this ”Mountain BLEND Stone” actually came across me after I watched Bong Joon-Ho movie ”Parasite”, ”Uncut Gems” and documentary about ”Jinmenseki” (stone with face). The idea is to look at STONE sculpture and seeing the significant from it. It is slightly strange how people can be so fixated by a certain kind of stone but also fascinating.

I supposed the significant of something like Mountain Art Scholar Stone is really thanks to human’s brain and ability to use imagination and to have a belief in a certain of fiction. Sometimes I belief the appreciation is also for time and effort spent to create something monumental that can hopefully ”WOW” other people. Maybe there is even a hidden message. Kind of like when a penguin collect a round pebble to give to its significant other.

So, have you ever made a significant stone using Blender yet? Try today!

NOTE:
– Reality Converter needs UV Texture from the 3D mesh already laid out from Blender in order for the PBR Material Shader Textures to work.
– Do try using basic plane and Displace Modifier of Blender to make your own Stone Mountain before you go with something like SVerchok addon and Noise Displace, Vector Noise, Vector Turbulance!
