BSLIVE Turning Live Photo into Animated AR Experience using Blender
I am applying a flip book animation setup using Animation Nodes in Blender to turn LIVE PHOTO (animated sequence of frames) into AR ready object for Apple USDZ Augmented Reality experience that you can share.
At this point in time, Apple does not actually allow animated GIF or animated PNG or video clip or live photo to playback as AR inside Reality Composer. So I figure out this might be a good little hack and for under 100 frames, this should work fine. It might be a bit processing intensive for iPhone or iPad to run this AR experience, but in general it should work 🙂
You can then use Reality Composer to add interaction like tap to playback animation. And add the sound from Live Photo back.
Enjoy this bring back memory AR experience!
