LIVENODING 1201 / Procedural Musical Drum Using SV Nodes
In this episode, I am sharing a node tree setup in Blender 3D that can be used to make an actual mechanically correct musical drum, maybe you could even 3D print the physical drum to make actual sound.
The SV node setup is translating your pixel art scroll into correctly placed trigger box.
But I am thinking to make it as AR / Virtual Music Box with some animation and it should run inside Reality Composer app and ultimately can be controlled with tactile rotating gear feeling like Apple Watch crown.
But you can always do it your own way, like maybe using Blender to send OSC data into Sonic Pi, in realtime to produce sounds in realtime. You basically set it up so when this musical drum makes collision, it makes sounds.
Enjoy!
