Let’s take a step back and learn how to work with Blender’s UI, since its paradigm is a bit different than other programs. But, once you get used to it, you’ll find it to be really fast and flexible.
Blender’s interface is divided into editors, each designed for a particular task. Editors can have different areas, such as a toolbar, header, and sidebar. To split or join editors, either right click on the border of one or left click and drag from one of the corners.
The tabs at the top of Blender are your workspaces – editor layouts that are arranged for a particular task. You can fully customize your workspaces however you’d like, and then save your startup file so that those changes will be there the next time you open Blender.
