#boxcutter 717.6 – Update Log (taper edition)
Boxcutter 717.6 expands on taper allowing it to work with every shape. It’s rare I get to brag that something is ”integrated completely”. Even persistent taper works across multiple operations extending its usability. Linear cutting can make normal map baking painful and our recent work aims to rectify it. Taper was solved so hard, HOPS got it. In addition to taper support, draw dot support was also extended bringing all the shapes up to congruency.
This update kicks off the taper event proper and sets us up nicely for the next arc. 717 is just getting started. Happy Boxcutting!
