Blender Texturing : Baking Curvature Map
In this video I use #Blender 2.91 to create a curvature map for #texturing the stone mesh hat I created in the hardsurface sculpting tutorial. I use a similar approach as I did for the normal map, but for this one we have to add a material to the high poly mesh and use the geometry node’s pointiness to bring out the cruvature of the stone.
Then I bake it to a greyscale texture using the Bake Type Emit. I assign then the map to the base color input of the principled shader, but in the next tutorial part I will show you how to combine this texture with an albedo map using the mix RGB node.
