In this video, I am showing you the whole process of 3D sculpting from scratch. This is not just a tutorial video for professional 3D artists, but more for casuals and creative sculpting.

3D sculpting skill can be for everyone just like cooking, animation, drawing, dancing, singing, everyone can learn to be creative. You have access for such tool easily like via Nomad Sculpt on your iPad for example. SculptGL also available free online.

There are a few process and terminology you need to know when doing 3D sculpting. Need to know that 3D sculpting can be pretty involved especially when you started to know more tools, ways to do masking, color set grouping, etc, etc.

But in the nutshell, we just need to know basic 3D sculpting tools and paint the texture.

I kind of mention a few important things:
– Polygon resolution of your 3D mesh
– Be aware of mesh topology and resolution, how dense etc.
– You need to know technique to remesh, retopo, quadriflow etc
– Vertex Color Painting is painting on vertex of polygon
– A proper painting needs to be done as Texture Painting
– Way to do BAKING: Color Diffuse, Roughness, Metalness, Normal etc for PBR material
– Adding details will be covered properly maybe in the next video. But you can bake proper Normal from Blender MultiResolution.

For what I am doing, I do sculpt to make 3D characters for Augmented Reality AR. And we know the format to use is GLB and USDZ.

Hope this can inspire you to make your own character. Be creative, make mistake, be unique and individual with your 3D sculpt, just like Sir Ken Robinson would say.
