LIVENODING 1471 / Shader Study Group Node ”RANGE MASK” using SV Nodes
LEVEL: Basic Intermediate
NODES: Shader and SVerchok
In this episode, I am doing a study of shader group node named RANGE MASK from Erin Dale. Basically a computational way to have a way to MASK values to create patterns like blinds opening and closing.
Erin is using the COMPARE nodes ”greater than” and ”less than” node to make the mask. Then, Bartek also shows a node that kind of doing more or less the same thing.
Often time what’s most interesting for me with Shader study is the resulting PATTERNS and actually to understand the Math formula behind it.
In case of Shader node in Blender, we cannot see values directly so in this video I am showing you the same number processing but using SV nodes.
