SV Special Introduction to Curve, Surface, Field Nodes of Sverchok addon in Blender 3D.
#curve #surface #field

In this episode, I give a little talk of my understanding of SVerchok nodes, and my actually “first look” at the new category or class of nodes that comes with SV addon: CURVE, SURFACE, and FIELD nodes.

From my personal history of study of 3D from architecture software Form-Z, then switching to Maya to Houdini, and finally to Blender 3D, I have a bit of knowledge and understanding about parametric and procedural creation that can transfer to SVerchok nodes and also Animation Nodes.

NODING not always easiest workflow, sometimes the right way of thinking and examples can help you go pretty far.

A little bit like learning a new language, you learn WORDS, then maybe GRAMMAR and try to make a meaningful SENTENCE.

Similarly with NODE:
You look at node name / description, learn about its FUNCTION, trying to make a meaningful NODE TREE then hopefully you generate a meaningful MESH DATA.

So that’s the concept I use to deal with all these new nodes related to CURVE, SURFACE and FIELD. None of them make sense at first, but you can do guessing on the fly and looking at the example screenshots from SVerchok github and video from other node artists.

The truth is that I am also still learning everyday, and hopefully eventually I can make my own nodes or have node tree creation that is useful for you and myself.

Before you know it, you might be able to create creatures using just nodes.
