SV Semi Procedural Modeling with Selection Grabber
#sverchok #procedural #3dmodeling
I am exploring a way we could make procedural 3D modeling so much easier in term of MASKING and SELECTING Components Mesh (vertex, edge, face) and to modify them with nodes while still having a manual hands on workflow.
NOTE:
This kind of modeling worklow is common in big brothers of 3D modeling such as Maya and Houdini. But I want this to happen in Blender in a more magical ways. Sorcar addon is one of such that gives ability to procedurally select, mask and perform procedural functions per components. However I do quite like SVerchok modeling. Having both would be ideals.
In this video, I am testing this idea where we can be very selective in what we are extruding on every step of modeling. A successful output would be a node setup that allows you to go back and adjust parameters.
You will see there are still limitations with current setup but it might be improved in the future. You don’t have ability to propagate or traverse down the change in topology automatically.
You can however already make simple design like Table or Chair or simple Humanoid Robot with this method that normally be slightly more tricky to make.
