In this episode, I am showing you how to bring in an animated point cloud data (PLY sequence) from iPhone X ”Record3D” app into Blender, via addon Point Cloud Visualizer by UHLIK.

The process is a lot faster and the addon is now much more robust, with you able to cache the sequence and view it as different data. This is very powerful and potentially useful for a lot of things.

Keep in mind with point cloud data can be quite big like 1 GB for only 10 seconds at 30 fps recording.
