BSLIVE / Quick Exploration of Reality Converter BETA app for Apple AR USDZ
In this episode, I want to take you through this app called Apple Reality Converter app, which is a developer tool that allows you to easily convert 3D Models into “USDZ” format for AR within Apple Ecosystem (works on iPhone, iPad, and can work with Reality Composer app and XCode).

What I think interesting however, is to think of GLTF and GLB as a bridging format that can work interchangeably with Blender, when you are preparing USDZ. GLB itself seems to be a common format for AR for AR and VR and WebXR.

Dealing with 3D can be quite daunting, however with Reality Converter app, even if you have no 3D background, you can start to understand about 3D assets, materials, PBR texture maps, environment HDR, etc. This is a great step for you to get to know 3D and use Blender especially when preparing “variations” for a single asset, via texture.
