BSLIVE / Converting MMD Hatsune Miku into Augmented Reality Experience
In this episode, I am showing you the process of converting MMD Dance Animation of character Hatsune Miku into something that works with Apple AR or as GLTF for Android as a virtual experience.
I am using CATS addon for importing the MMD characters (from sample folders).
Apparently VRoid Character VRM is different from MMD character PMD, so you might need to do conversion in order to apply dance motion VMD.

Ultimately with VRoid character, I like it to work as realtime AR or VR characters that you can use to create AR experience or to tell animated stories.
Virtual dancing characters are cool already and with proper care actually has presentability and value. Your own voice and performance data and poses count as the value.
If you use the ”anime” virtual character 3D model in Blender, you can already do so, you can animate pose, and face, etc it’s already there.
With AR and VR eventually, those characters become a future assets.
