Blender 2.8 Hardsurface Extrude with Fast Carve
This is a new updat for my Blender 2.8 hardsurface addon Fast Carve. I added a draw distance for the primitives that you can paint to the 3d view and an option to automatically extrude a mesh from a painted primitive, that takes this draw distacne into account.

So with this new feature you can create symmetrical 3d meshes from 2d shapes and use them for boolean operations directly.
