BSLIVE / First Look: Commotion Add On for Blender
In this episode, I am testing this cool addon for Blender called Commotion by Mikhail Rachinskiy. This add-on has been out there for a while and only now I have chance to look at it.
The add-on allows you to make motion graphics type of animations by creating offset animations of many objects with some kind of control over the offset: random, cursor position, multi-influence etc.
This can affect the animation of object transform, modifier, shapekeys, NLA. It does not work for Material animations yet.
This is version 1.7 of this add-on, works for Blender 2.79. I heard that Blender 2.8 is coming sometimes next year. For now, you can use this addon and make cool animation using Blender 2.79 and then open it up on Blender 2.8. It should work fine.
