BSLIVE / First Look at JL Scatter Objects Add-On
I am exploring the Scatter Objects Add-On that comes with Blender 2.8, currently being developed by JL aka Jacques Lucke.
This is probably going to replace older add-ons that deals with scattering of objects. It should work better faster, and interactive.

For now this add-on is still in alpha status, it might change again, but this is actually a good way if you want to understand Blender Instancing, testing your computer strength and making some complex looking 3D layout. Test this with Eevee and Cycles in Blender 2.8.
