LIVENODING 1000 / AN and Cycles Procedural Art of Blending
In this episode, I am playing with Blender Cycles nodes to revisit some of the basics and also use Animation Nodes to procedurally offset and control the Cycles Material.
When it comes to Cycles and procedural texture and shading, what I found is that it is really an Art of Blending and Mixing values at the very core. After all that is what Blender is really great at!
MixRGB and MixShader nodes are a good start. Play with Factor and RGB. Use Color Ramp. Then you do some Add Offset and Multiply.
It really takes a certain logic and mindset when dealing with the Math to generate texture and shader. Not always easy, it takes courage, but worth it.
Enjoy!
