In this Blender live stream we take on viewer challenges and build real-world products from reference.

The main focus of this session is modeling a YETI kids water bottle, using reference images and real product dimensions to build an accurate hard-surface model.

00:00 – Intro and geometry nodes hair demo
05:30 – Viewer challenge format explained
09:40 – Previous project: modeling a guitar
14:00 – Modeling an AeroPress coffee maker
33:40 – Coffee material and liquid setup
49:10 – Adding logo and product rendering
1:03:00 – Choosing next modeling challenge
1:06:00 – Modeling a YETI kids water bottle
1:15:00 – Using real product dimensions
1:33:00 – Modeling the cap and lid
1:55:00 – Building the handle
2:07:00 – Materials and product rendering
2:15:00 – Final bottle render

Along the way we explore several useful Blender techniques including:
• Blocking out real product dimensions
• Hard surface modeling workflows
• Boolean operations and remeshing
• Building complex caps and handles
• Applying product materials and lighting
• Adding logos using shrink-wrap techniques
• Product-style rendering setup

We also briefly model an AeroPress coffee maker and discuss techniques for mixing normal maps in Blender shaders.

Live modeling sessions are great for seeing the real decision-making process behind modeling workflows, problem solving, and reference interpretation.
