This is another Cycles-X development stream in which Sergey will be working on unifying pass access in a way that math will be reused for final pass accessor, viewport updates, and for the denoiser. This will bring the following features to artists:
– Shadow catcher matte preview in the viewport
– Ability to denoise shadow catcher, shadow catcher matte passes, as well as ability to denoise light passes.
More details about why it is not so straightforward will be described in the stream!
