Welcome back everyone – It’s time for a brand new Follygon original with my take on Morrigan Aensland from Darkstalkers! In my last video I showed you how to sculpt in ZBrush in real time showing how to use the tools and brushes. In this video I’m going to show you how I create an entire character from start to finish in 5 steps. I’ll be showing off my ZBrush sculpting process on a new Character, Morrigan Aensland from Darkstalkers.

During a recent mentorship session, I had a student ask me for some additional assignements to help them see improvement in their sculpting abilities. Here is what I came up with based on my personal experience during my early days of sculpting.

Sculpting in ZBrush is not easy, and sculpting cute girls is even harder. This video will focus more on sculpting from a wide perspective rather than focusing on the specifics of sculpting anatomy or the new tools in ZBrush 2020. Rather, I’ll show my ZBrush process from beginning to end, all while sculpting a cute female character. I’ll talk about how I start creating characters in ZBrush, whether female sculpting, or male sculpting is more difficult, and much more!
When sculpting characters in ZBrush, I use these steps to make sure that I keep my entire 3D character at the same level of completion. ZBrush Character sculpting is not easy. It takes a lot of patience and practice. But I believe that anyone can create art. The only difference between someone that is a master and someone that is just getting started is time! Hope you all find the video helpful. Thanks for watching!
