LIVENODING 1128 / ANSV Procedural Height Map Visualization and Terrain
In this video, I am using Blender 2.80 beta and a couple of nodes mainly Animation Nodes, but also SVerchok Nodes, to generate some kind of simple grid with its height visualized via multiple Materials.

The base grid can be anything and the ”noise” also can be customized to your liking. In the way this can be used to generate a game level of some sort?
